March 20th & 21st - Whispering Pines Conference Center Bridal Tasting

On Saturday and Sunday we were at Whispering Pines Conference Center on a beautiful weekend from 1-4PM.

The event was a tasting for all the brides and grooms of the year.

The property is secluded by trees and miles from the main road. It includes a place for campfires and smores, a nice deck overlooking the lake, cabins for overnight stays, as well as many other attractions you can find on their website. If you are considering a unique venue for an event this would definitely be a great place to check out.

March 16, 2010 - Networking Event - RI Hospitality

On this day we went to River Falls in Woonsocket, RI for RI Hospitality's monthly networking event. We feel it's important to network with industry professionals to make connections to lead to future business. Each month a new property is chosen, either a hotel or restaurant and approximately fifty people attend these events each month. The property gave a great view and included both restaurant and function space. If you are looking for a smaller reception space for a wedding or a place to hold a birthday party, shower, etc this would be a good location to choose. The staff was professional and the restaurant offers a large menu, which, they mentioned is increasing as well. Some of the members had been to the property and gave it a high recommendation to the other members. River Falls is a great location that everyone should check out either for hosting a function, eating, or having a night out as they host live entertainment every weekend as well.

March 13, 2010 - Corporate Event - Connie Ackroyd

This corporate event occurred in East Providence at the Metacomet Country Club. The event was celebrating Connie Ackroyd's accomplishments in the Mary Kay company. Despite inclement weather the event was a great success.

At 6PM the guests started to arrive and at 6:30 the speaking engagement began. About forty-five minutes later guests were presented with a dinner choice of chicken or salmon, salad, sides, and desserts. After that Connie and her affiliates took the stage again to continue the speaking engagement and celebration of her successes. Around 9:15 P.M. they wrapped up and the dancing was to begin. The event hosts were hesitant at first to dance, but after a few songs warmed up quickly. We ended up having Connie request an extra half hour of service, then an additional half hour after that. Guests were still requesting songs even as we were wrapping up the night. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves at the event and we congratulate Connie and wish her luck and continued success with Mary Kay.

Hopefully we'll be working with this company and the attendees at future events!
