May 5th, 2010 - Business Expo - RI Convention Center

On May 5th we went to the Business Expo at the Rhode Island Convention Center. There was a steady flow of traffic throughout the show floor with a wide variety of services. The event provided the opportunity to network with a variety of businesses. There were also speaker presentattion/seminars as well. It's important to attend these events so you can increase your presence in the marketplace. It also allows for you to see what else is out there. Also there are other perks such as free giveaways and there was a chance to win Red Sox tickets, airline tickets, or a Plasma TV.We would recommend your business to attend the next Business Expo in the area.

May 4th, 2010 - NACE Event - The W Hotel

On May 4th, 2010 we attended an event for the National Association Of Catering Executives (NACE) at the W Hotel in Boston, MA. The NACE seeks to provide catering and event industry professionals with networking and educational opportunities. The hope is that this will help them better service their clients and improve their business. It was a great event that was well attended with a lot of networking at an excellent venue.

May 1st, 2010 - Kaitlin's First Communion - Crowne Plaza

On May 1st we were at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick, RI in the Rotunda room. The event was celebrating Kaitlin's First Communion. They served lunch which was chicken and mashed potatoes and then dessert in addition to the cake they had made. Kaitlin enjoyed dancing to a variety of music. Her favorites/requests were line dances and then selections from modern popstars like Miley Cyrcus and Taylor Swift. She also had a special dance with her dad to "Cinderella". The event wrapped up with her singing a few selections as she someday hopes to be on American Idol.

Crowne Plaza

April 24th, 2010 - Providence Battalion - Renaissance Hotel

On April 24th, 2010 we were at the Renaissance Hotel for an event hosted by the Providence Battalion. The event was a military ball and each class had their own selective parts. On this day we got to see different military traditions such as the colors presentation and the retiring of the colors afterwards. We also saw the punch bowl tradition and the camaraderie that this group has. After the event we were told how much this night means to the cadets. A couple of people had flown in just to be there that night and we were told it wasn't to hear the presentations. A small night out of enjoyment with friends means so much to these people. They must balance college, work, and a social life in conjunction with the demanding hours of the ROTC. It was an honor to be a part of this event and make their day fun. We also enjoyed that nearly everyone was on the dancefloor all night dancing to everything from classic rock to the modern hits. A special selection for this night was playing the National Anthem when the cadets walked in.

April 18th, 2010 - RIWG Event - Bridal Soiree

On April 18, 2010 the Rhode Island Wedding Group hosted a Bridal Soiree. The RI Wedding Group is a group of wedding industry businesses working together. We give each other referrals and host/attend many networking events to bring new opportunities to our business. If you are interested in joining you can visit our website. This particular event was held from 12-4PM and many brides took advantage of pre-registering for the event in advance to receive free admission. Each of our wedding professionals seemed to have positive results attracting potential clients. A lot of great prizes were given out by them as well. We hope everyone who attended had a great time and we look forward to our next event!
