April 24th, 2010 - Providence Battalion - Renaissance Hotel

On April 24th, 2010 we were at the Renaissance Hotel for an event hosted by the Providence Battalion. The event was a military ball and each class had their own selective parts. On this day we got to see different military traditions such as the colors presentation and the retiring of the colors afterwards. We also saw the punch bowl tradition and the camaraderie that this group has. After the event we were told how much this night means to the cadets. A couple of people had flown in just to be there that night and we were told it wasn't to hear the presentations. A small night out of enjoyment with friends means so much to these people. They must balance college, work, and a social life in conjunction with the demanding hours of the ROTC. It was an honor to be a part of this event and make their day fun. We also enjoyed that nearly everyone was on the dancefloor all night dancing to everything from classic rock to the modern hits. A special selection for this night was playing the National Anthem when the cadets walked in.

April 18th, 2010 - RIWG Event - Bridal Soiree

On April 18, 2010 the Rhode Island Wedding Group hosted a Bridal Soiree. The RI Wedding Group is a group of wedding industry businesses working together. We give each other referrals and host/attend many networking events to bring new opportunities to our business. If you are interested in joining you can visit our website. This particular event was held from 12-4PM and many brides took advantage of pre-registering for the event in advance to receive free admission. Each of our wedding professionals seemed to have positive results attracting potential clients. A lot of great prizes were given out by them as well. We hope everyone who attended had a great time and we look forward to our next event!

April 14th, 2010 - RIWG Event - Rhodes On The Pawtuxet

On April 14, 2010 the Rhode Island Wedding Group hosted a special guest speaker. The guest speaker was Lois Pearce from CT who specializes in wedding planning. She spoke on customs of different nationalties, their demographics in RI, how to target these customers, and why remembering their customs is important. Everyone seemed very interested in the presentation and we recommend seeing her speak or having your organization host her at an event.

April 11th, 2010 - Wedding - OceanCliff - Patricia Goulart & Nicholas Simoes

On this date we celebrated the wedding of Patricia Goulart & Nicholas Simoes. It took place on a lovely spring day at the Ocean Cliff in Newport, RI. Floral arranagements, which were curly willows, were provided by Golden Gate. The couple's requests ranged from classic rock to top dance songs of today, and some Portuguese selections as well.

April 10th, 2010 - Wedding - Rebecca Altman & Ronald Kasilag - Independence Harbor

On April 10th we provided our services for the wedding of Rebecca Altman & Ronald Kasilag. It took place at Independence Harbor in Assonet, MA. The ceremony took place on the grounds under the gazebo. This particular wedding couple did their grand introductions and then went into a family photo. The formal dances took place after dinner which was a buffet station. It was a lovely reception.

April 1, 2010 - Westin Hotel - Tedeschi Food Group

On April 1st we were at the Westin Hotel for Tedeschi Food Group's corporate event. The event was a combination of a casino event and our DJ service. Guests could compete in a Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament, roulette, a wheel game, blackjack, and craps. The money could then be exchanged for raffle tickets to win prizes such as an XBox 360. We also used our game show at this event, which, the guests had a good time with. The game show works as a trivia competition with two people or teams competing against each other up to five points. Guests had a great time dancing up until midnight and didn't want the night to end. We were pleased to see guests requesting management to use our services at their next event.
